This sounds like you have faulty wiring to the fuse box.
Check all the wiring, you may find a loose plug or broken wire.
If the new relay was second hand, it could be that the new one was faulty too.

It passed an MOT in september so they must have been working then and the relay i change was a new one so i put the old one back in thanks any way
