hi there. 2001 laguna should be an early laguna II with mag cards rather than keys, which unfortunately means you cannot dis-engage the steering lock without destroying it. this involves removing the kick panel underneath the steering wheel and the use of a hammer and chisel to remove the lock. i your laguna is a late laguna I, you will have to drill out the ignition barrel. again, this will require replacement of costly parts. i would recommend having the vehicle recovered to the garage on a recovery truck. this may cost slightly more, but will save on furthur parts and labour costs to replace the steering lock. hope this helps. please accept and give feedback!
