Thank you for your question. Please try the following.

With Ignition Off
Hold Trip Reset In (keep held in)
Turn on Ignition
Still Hold Trip Reset for approx 12 seconds, the service light should change.
release trip reset.
switch off ignition
switch on ignition and check.

This should remove the service light. If not please get back to me and I will advise further.

I have tried that and that did not work I have also tried foot on break peddle reset button in and ignition off any other help please.

Hi again,

I have spoken to a colleague who used to work for a Vauxhall dealer. He states that the method that I have given you is correct. However, he also says that the service light can illuminate if the ECU has a fault code stored, so it sounds like this is what has happened. You will need to have a diagnostic check done to see if a code is stored.
