Hi. My indesit WIDXL126S...

Hi. My indesit WIDXL126S is playing up. the door won't open unless you switch it off at the mains. Sometimes some of the top green lights flash at the end of the cycle too - I think extra rinse and easy iron, but it might be spin and extra rinse - and last time I used it it leaked a bit. Any ideas?

Contractor's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of the appliance? And has it done this before?

It's a indesit WIDXL126S and it's just stayed doing it in the past 2 days.

Contractor's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

Prob not unless it's very basic

The flashing lights you get at the end of the cycle is F06 which also ties in with the door not opening as the F06 error code is a door lock fault which will be why the door isnt opening.

For this fault the door lock will need to be replaced and check the wiring as sometimes the wiring block on there burns as well so if it has then the lock needs replacing and the wiring repaired to cure this.

Its not a basic fix im afraid so if you need to get someone in to fix it then rough cost is about £70-80 roughly.

As to the leak all you can do is check hoses and the door seal as one of them will have worn which has caused it to leak.

Thanks Daniel (apologies had a migraine). I'm going to replace the hose as there's obviously a long term leak and once the leak has sorted will get someone in to sort the door - the lights are no longer flashing so hopefully it's just a door lock fault.
