I have a Lamona dishwasher that is not filling all I get is a humming sound JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your dishwasher?And have you run a diagnostic test cycle?Customer: It's a Lamona from Howdens. If you open the door and pore a jug of water in there and close the door does the water drain stright away?Thats fine as im unable to do the phone request anyway. Then look at the bottom of the dishwasher below the door and there you will see a metal panel. Once the base tray is dry this will reset the flood switch from there.

Ok this sounds like the flood switch is activate in the base tray of the dishwasher.
What you need to do is pull the dishwasher out and lean it 45 degs backwards and this will allow the water to drain out from the base. So you will need a towel for that part.
Once the water is out the flood switch will reset itself and this will stop the pump from running all the time.
Then retry it and fingers crossed this is just a one off that caused it.
Or as its a built in one then you can try and remove the wooden plinth at the bottom of the kitchen.
Then look at the bottom of the dishwasher below the door and there you will see a metal panel.
Remove this and then you can access the bottom base tray.
Make sure the power is turned off and then use a sponge and soak the water up from there.
Once the base tray is dry this will reset the flood switch from there.
But if it does it again then theres a leak under there which you need to find and fix. For this you need to remove both side panels and then you can see the workings under there and check for any loose hoses.
Try that and see how it goes from there and let me know.
