I have error code F06 with flashing door filter/bottom

I have error code...

I have error code F06 with flashing door filter/bottom filter and water tank red lights on my on my hotpoint condenser tumble dryer. I can’t give you the exact model number but we bought it due to our previous dryer being part of their recall/safety issue 2 years ago. The machine had been turned of overnight but the same lights and code appear. Can you help?

Just over 2yrs

Yes, ideally. I believe the model is: TDWSF 83B EP/EPZ

I have checked the filters and emptied the water tank. The machine stopped working mid-cycle

F06 error code is more then likely the thermostat on the heater thats failed.

But try resetting it first.

Turn the dial to off.

Turn to 6 oclock position

Press start button 3 times.

Turn knob 1 click clockwise.

Press start 3 times again and then turn off.

Now try a cycle and after about 20 seconds open the door and see if theres heat in there. If not then you need to unplug the dryer and remove the heater cover on the back.

There you will see the heater, On the top are 2 thermostats. You need to look at the one on the left and in the middle is a very small hole.

You need to get a pin and push it in there and push down. This should reset the thermostat from there.

Then reft the back cover and retry the dryer and fingers crossed this has cured it.

Let me know how it goes.
