5 flashes on this is a NTC (temperture sensor) fault.

What you need to do is pull the washer out and remove the back panel.

There you will see the heater. Either located in the center of the heater or near it is the NTC. It will have 2 thin wires going to it.

Check the wires and see if theres any broken. If the wires are fine then you need a multi meter to test it. The resistance should be in Kohms. If faulty then you need to replace the NTC.

But if the ntc and wires are fine then im afraid its looking like it could be the control board at fault here im afraid.

So try the above and see what you find and let me know.
