UK Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you!
It sounds like the door switch may not be closing circuit for the control to allow the dryer to start. Does the switch make a clicking sound when pushed in and out?
The switch is most likely faulty if the control allows programs to be chosen and changed. There may be a belt switch issue but I cannot verify if that model uses that or not. Is the drum very easy to turn or some resistance?
I know it has a belt, sorry for the confusion. I meant a belt switch that cuts power to the motor if the belt breaks. Do you have a meter to test the door switch with?
If the switch is good, then the main control is likely faulty. Let me know what you find. Thank you!
Oh, sure, there is no hurry at all. I am in the US so there is a bit of a time difference. Please forgive any delays when you post back.
