I have a hotpoint double oven BD31 which at the moment will not turn on.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Hotpoint is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: The clock control is flashing and shows zeros and auto but oven wwill not operate
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: hopefully as I think I just need to reset the clock
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: don't know, the model is BD31 no idea of age

If the clock is flashing then its in auto mode so the oven wont work. You need to set the timer for the oven to work.

To do this you need to press the first 2 buttons on the left of the clock and at the same time press either the + or - button to set the clock.

Then when the clock is set it should work then.

Try that and see what happens and let me know.
