Yes i40 is a fault on along the pressure switch circuit. Now there can be a nuber of things that can cause this.
Are you handy at doing diy repairs yourself? If so then i can get you the service manual on this which shows how to get into test mode and access the parts underneath the dishwasher.
But this isnt really good to follow if you are not that good at repairs im afraid.

It depends on the problem in there weather its worth fixing or not. Parts can also be expensive to replace.
But another way to fix this is a repair plan from AEG themselves. Its about £16 a month as you pay monthly and it covers the repair and then a full 12 month warrenty on the complete appliance as well so thats another option you have as its cheaper then getting a new dishwasher as well.
