The door seal on a Bendix has been removed from the inner

Customer Question

Hi,
The door seal on a Bendix has been removed from the inner side where it seals around the drum. It is still connected to the front body of the machine. Can I easily put the seal back around the drum without taking the machine apart?

OK first thing to do is take the top off and remove the outer door retaining clamp. Once this is done, lean the appliance backwards to about 60 degrees (this gives you more room to work in) then put the rear of the seal onto the tub assembly and fit the retaining spring around it (this is the hard bit as this spring is quite tight) Finally put the machine back on the floor at the front and fit the front part of the seal and retaining clamp - job done - Ian
