Customer Question

Hi I woke up the morning and my Smeg FAB30YNE wasn't on, I went to the fuse board and it had tripped out, I have changed the fuse on the fridge/freezer but it doesn't make any difference.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have just unplugged, reset the trip switch, turned off Smeg, plugged it in and the light came on but as soon as I turned the dial to 1 it tripped out again

Good Morning Claire - how do you feel about a little disassembly?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can try

If not if you give me some ideas I can get my husband to try when he gets home but I have a fridge full of food!

OK first thing to do is to get the food stashed with a neighbour or friend if you can - usually the problem with these is that the motor (compressor) has burnt out so its not a quick fix. Once you've got that sorted come back to me and I'll tell you what we're going to do next - you will need a couple of screwdrivers and plenty of room - Ian
