Range Master 110. Oven heats up then turns off once it has

Customer Question

Range Master 110. Oven heats up then turns off once it has been on for a while. Cannot reset. Turn everything off including mains. Leave 15 mins. No difference. Eventually seems to sort itself out (suspect once heat has dissipated). But seems to do the same on any long cooking period.

What you will find is the over heat thermostat is tripping out which is a safety device to stop it from over heating. Once its cooled down then it resets itself and allows you to use the oven again.

Now the most common thing to cause this is the cooling fan. As the cooling fan blows cool air across the controls and keeps them all cool. You may find this isnt running hence the controls getting too hot and the thermal cut out tripping out.

What you need to do if you are looking at fixing this yourself is access the top of the control unit and remove the back.

From there locate the cooling fan and check this hasnt jammed up. As over the years grease builds up and causes the fan to jam up and not run.

So check the cooling fan in there and see what you find.
