Customer Question

Customer: Hi,
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: AEG Lavamat Turbo 16810 update, 6 kg, circa 2003. The 40 C synthetics wash is stopping during the rinse fill (@ 8-9 minutes) with an E10 user error code (Diagnostics code now showing is E11). Onlt resume when the start/resume button is pushed and it can take 12 minutes before the fill stops. Does this on each rinse cycle - not on the wash cycle. Does the same on the Delicates rinse cycle but NOT on the Cottons. Doesn't do it on the drying cycle either.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $18) to post your type of question to UK Appliance Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?

When you set it going on a rinse only cycle do you hear the water gussing into the dispenser or is it just trickling in?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Initially short gush, then trickle.

Thanks for that.

Im afraid the water valve is the fault here and will need to be replaced.

As on the valve are 3 coils, One for the wash one for the rinse and the other for dryer. When the valve is powered up it lifts a plunger up to allow the water to pass though and then closes to stop.

What you will find here is the rinse plunger is fault so its not lifting up fully to allow the water to pass through as normal so it trickles through and then ends up giving the E10 error code as its not filling fast enough.

What you need to do is remove the top of the washer and you will see the water inlet valve in the back left corner were the fill hose goes to.

You need to replace that and then this will cure the fault from there and get it working again.

If you need anymore info just get back to me.

Water pressure from the dedicated cold water supply is 2.4 bar with a flow of 3 litres a minute, Ohmeter readings from solenoids, at rest, are as follows, specials 4.12 K ohm, detergent 4.62 K ohms, and rinse 3.7 K ohm.

Its not going to be a fault coil its the valve body itself so when the coil is powered up its not lifting the rinse plunger up so for this the complete water inlet valve will need to be replaced.

Roger. The valve is in the same plastic unit as the solenoid ? About £30 retail. No ?
Expert:  Daniel replied 1 year ago.

Yeap that's its the coils come as part of it as one unit.

The part number is 1249472117
