More then likely the spark leads have got wet and this causes the fault you have here.

Turn the power off to the hob

What you need to do is remove the pan stands and remove all the burners.

Now you will see the white spark leads. Give them all a wipe with a dry cloth.

Then get a hairdryer and heat each one for a few minutes to dry any moisture out of them.

Also remove the control knobs by lifting them up and aim the hairdryer in each part were the knob goes and do the same there.

Now refit the burners and turn the power back on and fingers crossed this will stop it from sparking. But if its still the same then the spark generator will be the fault and will need to be replaced to cure this.

But to be honest most of the time drying them out with a hairdryer cures this.

Let me know how it goes.
