Can you post the make and model number please.

Evening, it's a CDA model number WC130.

Thanks for that. 3 flashes is a heater fault. Now most of the time it's the heater itself that causes this so you need to access the bottom of the dishwasher underneath and there you will see the heate. You need a multi Meter to test this so check the resistance of it and see what you get. It should be around 28 ohms.

If faulty then you need to replace the heater.

But if the heater is fine then it's either a broken wire in the door or the control board here.

So check the heate and see what you.

But that's what the 3 flashes means it's a heater related fault.

Thanks for that, but the machine doesn't want to take water in and soon after switching it on it beeps like it's finished a complete cycle.

So is it still stopping with the start light flashing 3 times?

Ok the electronics is picking up a broken circuit in the heater. So that could be why it's not allowing it to start.

Have you tried resetting it when the code is flashing as when it is it won't do anything. Hold the start button for several seconds and it should reset.

Then retry it and see what happens. If it keeps going back to 3 flashes then just check the heater under there with a multi meter as I'm sure you will find that faulty here.

It's now flashing 6 times!
Expert:  Daniel replied 1 year ago.

6 flashes is a filling issue on this.

What happens when you start it going?

Does the dishwasher start to fill with water then you get the 6 flashes or doesn't it fill with water at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The machine starts to take in water and then almost immediately drains it back out and beeps as if the program has completed.

Ok if it starts to fill then does this then its possibley a fault on the flow meter.

What you need to do is pull the dishwasher out and remove the let hand side panel.

There you will see the plastic filing tank.

Towards the bottom of this is the flow meter. It will have a small wiring block on there. Remove this wiring block and refit it a few times as this will make a better connection.

Then retry the dishwasher and see how it goes. Fingers crossed that sorts it. But if it doesn't then its possibley the flow meter itself at fault. Now this comes as a part of the filling tank so the complete filling tank will need to be replaced on there for this fault.
