Customer Question

Neff hob ignition clicks occasionally (one click every 15 to 30 minutes) whether the gas is lit or not. Haven't seen it, so not sure if it's one ring or all five. Been like this for several months.

This fault depends on weather its one or all of the hobs doing this.

If its just one then it its possibley the igniter switch on that certain hob. As depending on the model as you turn the knob and push down this switches the sparker on and ignites that hob. So if its only one that's doing it then its possibley either that spark lead or the igniter switch.

But if its all the hobs that's doing this then its more then likely the spark generator box under the hob as this is what sends the spark to the spark lead. So if its all then you need to replace the spark generator box under the hob to cure this.

Thanks. All five rings spark when I ignite any one of them. How do I get to the "spark generator box", where do I get a replacement from, and how do I fit it?

Ok can you post the full model number of the hob please.

I can't see a model number.

Ok the model number is ***** on a sticker under the hob.

But to access the spark generator you normally need to remove all the knobs.

The remove the pan stands and all the burner caps.

Then either side of each burner will be a few screws, You need to remove them.

Then you can lift the hob top up,

Then you will see the spark box there with all the spark leads going to it.

You can replace it from there.

As to getting it that's the hard part as you really need the model details to get the correct part im afraid.
