Changing an element but confused with the wiring. I have one

Customer Question

Changing an element but confused with the wiring. I have one terminal with two wires going into it and another just the same plus one single wire going to another terminal. On the element there are four terminals, two either side. I have tested to see if one of them is earth but it is not. Where or which of the wires go on the element?

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The double wires are neutral and for the hot surface lamp. The single is for the switched line.

May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?
