Customer Question

I've got a hotpoint aq113d 697 I which mid cycle tripped the electric. We managed to remove the clothes but it trips every time the plug is switched on- brief display on the machine and electric then trips. We've tested the plug socket with another appliance and it's fine and have also plugged the washer in to a different plug and it trips straightaway again.
Any ideas? Is it worth seeing if someone can repair it?
Many thanks, Alison

This sounds like an earth fault on the machine.

Can you tell me how old this is and how many times a week its used?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's about 3 years old and used about 6x per week

Hi Alison

OK, I can try and get you a fixed price quote for this. This would include any parts needed.

I think this would be the best way to go. I would just need your postcode

Given that its not very old, it may be worth repairing.

The all in price is £104, this includes everything. so you can now decide if youd rather put that money toward a new machine
