Customer Question

I have a Baumatic BA187.2SS.
When the oven controlls are all in the off position the Orange oven temp light is illuminated. Is this normal?
Also when the oven is operating (cooking) the Green cool down light is on and the cooldown fan is operational.
Kind Regards

Does the orange temperature light never go out?

How old is this?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Rob,
The oven is about 11 years.
Yes the orange light does go out when the oven reaches temp.
The green cool down light remains on constantly.ThanksDon

Hi Don

This sounds like the orange lamp is picking up a stray current from somewhere, not the esiest fault to find

Do you have, and know how to use, a multimeter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Rob,
Yes I do own a multimeter.
Can I send you some pics of the oven?
Expert:  Rob replied 1 year ago.

Yes, use the paper clip icon above.

Remove the oven from its housing after turning off the power.

Access the control panel.

You need to trace back from the orange lamp, to see where the stray voltage is from
