Customer Question

I have a Kenwood C9T CK404 for which the oven is not working. There is a flickering light on the front when I turn the oven and thermostat on, which then fades out within a couple of seconds. The fan isn't coming on either. I've taken off the hob top but don't know what I'm looking for. Any advice would be appreciated

Hi, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The flickering and fading light is indicative of a low voltage issue. I suspect there may be a shorted component or a bad set of contacts in the control that turns the oven on. Are you able to measure voltage out of the control and at the elements?
