VerifiedHi, I'm Daniel and I'll be helping you today I've been repairing white goods for 20+ yrs. and currently work for a well-know manufacturer.
Ok water may have overflowed when it couldnt drain the water out.
What you need to do is pull the dishwasher out and lean it backwards and the water will drain out from the bottom so you may need a towel for that.
Then stand it up right and retry it and fingers crossed that will sort it from there.
Try that and let me know what happens from there.

Yes you can can get them from B&Q no problems.
If you can get a longer one as you can get a 2.5m hose as this will give more room if the old hose was a tight fit.
