Sorry for the delay in getting to your question.
What you describe suggests a weak pumping compressor or a lack of refrigerant.
At the bottom rear of the machine is the compressor, a black pot shaped item.
If this is running and extremely hot, it suggests a blockage in the system pipework.
If it's running and warm, it suggests the weak compressor or lack of refrigerant.
Unfortunately, none of this is a diy repair.
You would need to get a refrigeration engineer to come in and attach gauges to the system pipework to determine the exact cause.
It's an expensive repair, around £150 to £200 for a compressor and regas (approx.) and if it's blocked, it may well not be repairable.
Sorry, not good news or a simple fix.
