Question Summary
I have an AEG N71840-4I Integrated Fridge Freezer, Freezer appears to be working OK, Fridge is only at Ambient Temp Irrespective of any adjustment made to the thermostat. Left the Thermostat on Full (No6) for a few Hours to see if I adjusted to a deep "Freeze" that it would trip out if I manually adjusted back towards a Low Freeze -It didn't.Answer Summary
Hi If you feel the compressor at the back is it hot to touch?Also empty the fridge section and feel the back wall inside and see if any part of it feels spongey like you can press it in and out. What happens is the evaporator develops a small gas leak so the pressure builds up behind there and pushes the liner away from the evaporator. When this happens theres nothing you can do as its unrepairable. Ive seen this fault loads of times on these.

Sorry not good news im afraid.
What has happened is the evaporator for the fridge section has come away from the liner. What happens is the evaporator develops a small gas leak so the pressure builds up behind there and pushes the liner away from the evaporator.
When this happens theres nothing you can do as its unrepairable. Ive seen this fault loads of times on these. In fact I had one to day I had to write off because of this.
Sorry this isn't good news but theres nothing you can do. And soon you will notice the freezer will defrost as the gas level drops so the freezer will defrost as well im afraid. So there no point in replacing the PCB board as that wont have any affect on this sorry.
