AEG oven/microware kb9810e - the microwave has suddently stopped heating the food - the light comes on, itmakes the normal noice and the timer ticks down but there is a smell of plastic and no heat
Good morning, the plastic smell is the high voltage diode. Diode 6021W3B001R Main Product Viewthis is not an expensive part however it is a very dangerous part to install. its part of the high voltage side of the microwave. microwaves can store enough voltage in the high voltage capacitor even after these are unplugged.(enough voltage to kill you) be safe please call a tech out to replace this.
