on most whirlpool dishwashers the seven flashing lights error code indicates a problem with the heater circuit or the door switch. Here is a common way to reset the the computer if your machine has the correct buttons to press.
Press the buttons on the console if your machine has them to reset the computer.
HIGH TEMP SCRUB, AIR DRY, HIGH TEMP SCRUB, AIR DRY
Or
SANI RINSE, AIR DRY, SANI RINSE, AIR DRY
Appliance Tech-Care :
Press the buttons back and forth in a key dance.
If you are successful all the lights will light up and the machine will go into a test cycle.
Let it run thru the test and tell me what it does

Sorry for the delay in getting to your question.
7 flashes indicates a flow meter failure.
To try and cure the fault, check that the water is turned on and not accidentally blocked off.
If it's on and there's water getting to the machine, unplug the appliance.
Take the left side panel off.
Take the plug off of the flowmeter.
(It's fitted into the large plastic tank on the left side).
Clean the connector on the plug and on the pcb.
(A pencil eraser is good for cleaning the contacts).
Tighten the plug a little , give it a gentle squeeze with pliers.
Fit the plug back on.
Try the machine again.
Check it out, see how it goes and get back to me.
Obviously if you cannot do the work yourself, you'll need to get someone in to do it for you.
If the above doesn't sort it out, I'm afraid you'll need to begin replacing parts to get it working again.
