beko WM 5100 W /...

beko WM 5100 W / 5100 S - my machine turns on, the water is connected, and the belt is fine but when I press start, the start light flashes and the machine doesn't do anything. i made sure the door was shut properly and that it wasn't over loaded and still nothing. Iv also tried a different wash cycle and still nothing. please advise. josh

Ok if the door isn't locking then its going to be either the door lock or the control board.

Now you can try and replace the door lock first and see if this cures it. If its still the same then the control board will be the fault im afraid.

As when it doesn't start and the door doesn't lock it can only be either the lock itself or the control board here im afraid.

You can check for loose connection on the board by removing the top and checking the wires behind the board. But its quite rare you get loose wires but worth a try.

would getting a new lock be expensive? i was given the machine and its not an expensive machine. if the lock or control board is expensive i will scrap the machine and get a new 1. plse advise.

The door lock is about £15 but the control board is about £60-70.

But to be honest a door lock on these dont fail often on these. Ive only ever replaced a few but i replaced loads of control boards in the past on these.
