My Whirlpool DWH B10 keeps...

My Whirlpool DWH B10 keeps bleeping and is stuck on the rinse setting, it stops beeping when opened but then doesn't appear to stay on any settting reverts to rinse and beeps again Can someone advise please.

When it does this the start light will be flashing.

You need to count the number of flashes from the start light inbetween the pause and let me know.

When it beeps and i open it, the start light is flashing but what do you mean by count the flashes inbetween the pause? What pause, when i open the it stops beeping but the light flashes continually.

The light is flashing an error code.

Watch the light and you will see a patern in the flashing.

It may flash 7 times pause for a second or two and then flash 7 times again.

Have a look and see what you find.

11 flashes is a water indecator fault. If you remove the filters inside the dishwasher and the bigger mesh filter in the sump on the right hand side you will see a black grid.

You need to pore some boiling water into the sump and then carefully give the water indecator a scub with an old tooth brush but not to hard as it may damage the membrain in there.

Then press and hold the start button on the top untill the light stops flashing and then retry the dishwasher and see how it goes from there. Hopefully this will cure it.

But if still the same then you need to check the door wiring in the loom.

Remove the outer door and in there you will see a plastic holder with the wires going in there.

Give the wires a tug and see if theres any broken wires in there.

If the wires are fine then you may need to replace the water indecator and see if this cures the fault.

Try cleaning and resetting it first as most of the time this cures it.
