Question Summary
When we start a cycle (any cycle) it makes noises but no water is released into the body of the dishwasher.after a few minutes of making noises it starts to beep. We have poured boiling water into the sump, cleaned the filter and there is enough salt and rinse aid.Answer Summary

The inlet valve is not working. Remove the inlet hose thet feeds the dishwasher water and check the filter screen at the tap end under the sink, inside the hose.
Where the hose connects to the dishwasher, undo it and check the filter in the valve side, not the hose*
Either end could be blocked preventing water from entering the machine.
If this doesnt solve the problem when you re install the inlet hose and test the machine, you are going to have to replace the inlet valve on the dishwasher...
