If you set the washer to a spin only cycle will the drum turn?

Ok its possible the carbon brushes in the motor may be the problem here.
What you need to do is remove the motor from the bottom and at the back either side you will see the carbon brushes.
Take them out and inspect them. If they have worn down then they will need to be replaced.
Then fingers crossed this will cure the problem for you.
