Question Summary
Zanussi 1200 XC washing machine keeps pausing. What does that mean?I have done some more research and found out the LED's translate to error code E33.Want to get a view as to whether it is cost effective to call out an engineer to fix or best to buy new?So looks like time to search for a new washer in the January sales.Answer Summary
HiOk E33 isnt the easyist error code to fix as it could be a number of thing here. It may be either a pressure switch fault. Which given the age of the washer as on the service info its comming up as a 9-10 year old washer. As a control board is about the £150 mark.

Ok E33 isnt the easyist error code to fix as it could be a number of thing here.
It may be either a pressure switch fault. Hole in the pressure hose or the control board.
To check yourself what you can try is take the top off and locate the pressure switch. It will be on the right hand side with a thin black hose going to the bottom of it. Take the hose off and blow hard down it. Also take the hose off from the bottom of the tub and make sure there isnt any holes or splits in there.
If thats all fine the its either the pressure switch or the control board.
But to be honest you may find its more then likely a control board. Which given the age of the washer as on the service info its comming up as a 9-10 year old washer. As a control board is about the £150 mark. So in this case its proberly best to renew the washer.

Yes it should be fine to carry on like that. The reason its pauseing is the electronics are picking up a problem on the pressure switch side so it will keep doing this.
So pressing the start button will be fine untill you get your new washer.
