In most machines, it is located in the left or right corner of the panel and should be visible to you. Your inlet water valve will have hoses connected to it--one that takes water to the machine and another that takes water away. This is a good time to check that your hoses are in good condition, not corroded or kinked. Take the hoses off the dishwasher intake valve. You should probably place a container underneath before disconnecting in case there is water left in the hoses.
