no not really, was hoping that the outlet was too high, ... my feeling is the waste pump is U/S

Yes it comes up with a Hoover error code of E03.

and does the machine have a filter on the front, down low?

always happens just before christmas!!!

yes have opened that no blockage and drained whatever comes out, . then re tried on a quick wash with the hose into a bucket same error code

OK, in that case I think you are correct.

E03 is draining too slowly

If the filter is clear, it will either be a blocked waste hose or a faulty pump. Does the waste hose come out the back at floor level?
Customer:
yes then used to go up the back to approx 3/4 up the machine, then free hose into the drain, have laid the hose fairly flat but no joy so was thinking that it was only working under gravity

if you take the back off the machine you should be able to lay the hose flat from the pump. The water will then flow under gravity unless the ose or the pump is blocked

If its blocked you will nee to remove the hose at the pump and clear it out
