I have a candy Grand...

I have a candy Grand GO1482. I tried to wash a door mat in it - big mistake! Loads of fibres came off the mat and the machine didnt drain properly but there was only a little water in it so i opened the door, threw out the mat (!) and emptied it by hand. When it had stopped, the indicator light by the 'stain vanish' button was flashing and wont stop no matter how many times i press it!! i;ve tried about 4 cycles of rinse/drain and also one cycle of fast wash but non of the cycles will finish, they all leave water in the drum with the stain vansih light flashing. I've cleaned the filter - which was bad but have tried another cycle and the water still wont drain away. Any suggestions please?

I would think you have blocked pipes underneath the machine. Uncouple the water suppy. Isolate the mains electric. Lay down on side, a cushion underneath the top end help. then remove sump pipe and all other pipes to clear all blockages. Leave no stone unturned and do a thouruogh check of all pipes/hoses. Then couple back up and it should all be fine again.

Make sure you turn off and disconnect all electric and water taps first!!!

Thanks, I think i need to wait til husband comes back as not sure i can do that! Just to confirm , we need to lie washer on side with a cushion under the top?
