This is normally an indication that air is getting into the compartment.

Check the door seal is sealing properly.

Unplug the appliance.

Inside the freezer, take off the panel at the bottom rear.

Take off the fan panel.

This will reveal the evaporator.

Is it blocked with ice?

The evaporator (all the tubes) should be frosted over to give even cooling.

The lump of ice would suggest there's a problem in the cooling system.

Was the fan in the freezer running?

Was the freezer cold enough or was it warmer than it normally is?

Sorry, should have said earlier.

Your fridge is cooled by cold air blown up from the fridge.

A baffle in the fridge opens when it needs cooling.

If the freezer isn't cold enough, the fan doesn't run so the fridge doesn't cool.

If there's an ice blockage in the freezer or in the ducting between the 2, the fridge doesn't cool.

I would suggest trying a full defrost on your appliance.

You'll need to find somewhere to keep your frozen food first.

Then, unplug the appliance.

Leave it for at least 24 hours with the doors open, in a warm room.

This should be long enough to melt any ice blocking the ducting.

Then, turn it on, close the doors and see if the cooling problem corrects itself.

If it doesn't we need to check the evaporator in the freezer to ensure it's frosted over evenly and if that's ok, check that the damper in the fridge is working.

If you prefer, you can reverse this and check the baffle in the fridge first.

Take the panel on the rear wall of the fridge (inside) off.

Check to see if the motorised baffle is open.

If it is, then the fault has to be in the ducting or freezer.

If not open it will be a faulty sensor or faulty damper.

It's really a case of methodically going through the diagnostic process to get to the actual fault.
