Hi - i have a Zanussi Jetsystem 1200 - 13 years old. I opened the kitchen door to dind water poring out the front of the machine - both via the door and the drawer where you put the fabric conditioner in. When i try to drain it, the drum is not moving - plue the door lock is not coming off, so the machine is still on, full of washing and water! Any ideas - checked the filter and the conditioner drawer, no obvious signs of anything stuck. Any ideas?

Set the machine to spin or drain only.

Does it pump water out ?

If you set it to the drain cycle only, its not draining & the drum isn't moving. If you set it to a spin cycle, the drum spins and the water pours out the fabric conditioner drawer and some out of the door

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

You would appear to have more than 1 problem here.

Unplug the appliance.

First, check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.

If it's onto a connection, take it off and check both for a blockage.

(If it's blocked, clear it and then try pumping the water out).

First, you need to manually remove the water.

You can either lower the drain hose as low as possible into a bucket or wash basin.
Let gravity drain the machine.

Raise the hose when you need to empty the container.

or,

Put a shallow dish in front of the filter.

Slacken the filter a little and drain water off.

Tighten the filter when you need to empty the dish.

Once the machine is empty, try opening the door.

Take the filter out.

Clean out any debris in the filter.

With nothing in the machine.

Put it on drain only.

Look/listen at the open filter to see/hear if the pump is running.

Hello -

Drained most of it manually, then ran a drain cycle, a spin cycle with nothing in it and now a low temp wash which appears to be ok.
