i have a bosch exxcel 1200 express, my first problem was error

Customer Question

i have a bosch exxcel 1200 express, my first problem was error code f21,now in the last hour the code has changed to f63. how can this be and what do the codes mean?

F21 is a motor circuit fault.

F63 is a control board failure.

Try erasing the stored error codes and see if it starts working again.

Spikes in the mains can upset the control board causing the problem

The machine stores several errors so you may need to do the following several times.

Turn the knob to off.

Close the door.

Turn the knob to 6 o'clock position.

Wait 2 seconds.

The start/pause should begin flashing.

Press and hold the spin button.

Turn the knob to 7 o'clock position.

Wait 2 seconds.

Release the button.

Turn the knob to off.

If the machine won't go into diagnostics to erase the error code, it would suggest a faulty control board.

Try it several times to see if you get it reset.

If the start button doesn't flash, just carry on trying to erase the codes.

Hope this helps

let me know how it goes or if you need more help

Thank you very much for your reply, I'm sorry its taken so long to get back to you as I have been waiting for new brushes for the motor as they were badly worn. I have tried what you have said to do about fifty times, the start pause button does not flash and the code error f63 is still flashing. Is there any more help you can give me?

Sorry, if F63 won't clear I'm afraid it's indicating a control board failure.

You're looking at an expensive repair.

Sorry, the next step is to replace the control board.

I would suggest getting a quote for repair from

Their price includes parts and labour.
