Ok E51 is a motor triac error code.
But what can happen on these is the motor insulation failes and it can cause the problem you have now.
To test tip the washer backwards and look underneath. There you will see the motor. Unplug the wiring block to the motor.
Then retry the washer and see if it will start a cycle and fill with water. If it does then the motor will need to be replaced.
If still the same then its possible the control board is the problem as this is were the triacs are anyway.
But this wont be a cheap repair which ever it is as they are both £100+ each. So given the age of the washer as this model is comming up as a 2000 model so its 11 years old so it may not be worth spending that much money on it.
