The filter is in the sump hose at the back of the washer which isnt really accessable with out taking the back panel off.
But a blocked filter wont really cause it to leak. What you need to do is open the door and inspect the door seal and see if theres any splits in there. As if there is then this will leak inside the washer and come out from the bottom.
Also take the top off and check the hose at the top of the soap dispenser unit.
