I have a Zanussi ZDC 37100 W, which is about 18mths old - but the belt has snapped. A friend of mine bought a new one for me and tried to replace it, but he is querying whether there is a belt tensioner/pulley somewhere, as the new belt is far too loose and doesn't appear to be any way of tightening it.Answer Summary
Hi Ok there should be a small spring next to the motor which clips onto the base of the dryer and then into the motor were the bolt goes across it. Then lok go of the motor and it will then take the tension. As to a diagram ive just looked in the service manual and theres nothing in there other then test cycles of the elctroincs and wiring diagrames.

Ok there should be a small spring next to the motor which clips onto the base of the dryer and then into the motor were the bolt goes across it.
This spring gives the tension of the motor so with this spring in place push the motor as far back as it will go then you can feed the belt onto the motor shaft and under the pully. Then lok go of the motor and it will then take the tension.
So its the sping which you need to fit in place to cure this.
As to a diagram ive just looked in the service manual and theres nothing in there other then test cycles of the elctroincs and wiring diagrames. As they dont really put things like that in as they expect the enginners all ready know how to replace the belt.
