OK, if this is after trying it on a new programme, it's signaling a temperature sensor fault.

Take out the filters.

Pour a kettle full of boiling water into the sump.

Try the machine again.

If still the same, pour a jug of cold water into the sump.

Try the machine again.

Let me know what happens.

When you start a new programme it first drains the water.

If you are getting a single flash, it's the temperature sensor,

If the code has changed, let me know.

Did you actually try the machine again when I asked you to check the light when it goes wrong or did you just check the light?

You say the machine was emptied.

Did you manually remove water from it?

I know it's an integrated machine.

If you read my answer, you'll note there's a panel below the door.

Once that is off, you have access to the sump.

Sorry, your tradesman obviously doesn't know the machine.

The sensor simply twists through 90 degrees and pulls out.

I do these on a daily basis and worked for Whirlpool for many years.

There is no need to remove the machine to change the sensor.

It's one of the simplest jobs on this appliance.

I'm not going to argue with you over it.
