Ok what you need to check is there 240v going to the drain pump.

Also take the top off and from there you will see the fill valve from there. Then what you need to do is meter out the coils on the valve and see if any of them are faulty. They should read about 3.6 kohms. If faulty then the valve will need to be replaced.

Ok F01 is a short circuit motro triac error.

Now for this what you need to do is take out the motor and at the back of the motor you will see the carbon brushes either side.

Take them out and inpsect them. If they have worn down then they will need to be replaced.

If the motor is fine then it may be a fault on the control board itself as thats were the triacs are anyway.

But check the carbon brushes in the motor as on the older models when these worn down they usde to sto the washer from starting. The door would lock but just wont do anything.

So check them and see what you find.

Im sorry this has an induction motor so it doesnt have any carbon brushes.

Just make sure the wiring to the motor is fine. Give them a little tug as they can break internall so you carnt tell untill you pull them.

If the wiring is fine then it may be a fault on the control board itself given the error code so you are look around that area either the motor or the control board im afraid.

You migt be best as they offer a fixed price repair which is about £105 this is for parts and labour.

So if its either the board or the motor then this will be cheaper then doing the repair yourself anyway so hotpoint will more then likley be the cheaper opition here.
