keeps beeping and wont wash...

keeps beeping and wont wash anythink, it sounds as though it is starting to fill then stops and beeps alot, carnt get it of rince cycle pls help

Hiya,

Cancel the programme.

Select a new one.

Start the machine going.

When it goes wrong, look at the start light.

It will be flashing an error code.

Count the flashes between pauses and let me know how many.

it goes straight back to rince, starts up then 10 secounds later stops

there is a flashing light but it flashes constantly and beeps , i went to put it on another wash i then close door then it goes straight back to rince and beeping

Hiya,

OK, forget the rinse light and the beeping.

The only important thing is the number of flashes from the start light.

If they are constant then that is a single flash.

I need you to be absolutely sure that it is a single flash as you could end up spending money on a part that isn't needed if you get the error code wrong.

Reset.

Start a new programme.

Count the flashes between pauses.

the lite that is flashing is the one by the start button, flashing all the time

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

A single flash (on/off every second) indicates a problem with the temperature sensor in the appliance.

We can try to shock the sensor into working.

Take out the bottom basket.

Take out the filters.

Pour a kettle full of boiling water into the sump.

Try running the machine again.

if still the same, pour a jug of really cold water into the sump.

Try the machine again.

Finally, try the boiling water again.

If it still fails with the single flash, you'll need to try fitting a new temperature sensor to cure the problem.

Try it out, let me know what happens.

it wasnt done anythink, it has just pumped all the water out,and now still beeping and flashing lights.

Hiya,

As I've explained before, the number of flashes dictates the fault.

If you are still getting the single flash, you need to change the NTC sensor to try and cure the fault.

As you've tried boiling water, cold water and then boiling water again and it still doesn't work, it's time to begin replacing parts.

The temperature sensor (NTC) is fitted from the underside of the sump.

Unplug the appliance.

Take the panels below the door off.

Take the outer door off

Be careful as the panels are razor sharp.

Check the wires in the door where they are protected.

If cut or broken, repair the wiring and try the machine again.

The sensor has two thin blue wires attached to it.

Twist the sensor 90 degrees and pull it out.

Fitting is the reverse of removal.

The 3 items involved in a single flash fault are the sensor, the wiring and the main control board.
