Ok if its not taking the softner then pull the drawer out again.
And this time look insude the drawer and on the roof of it. Just above the section were you put the softner you will see a hole in the dispencer roof.
Get something and poke it into to the hole and push it down the roof of the dispenser. I use a cable tie for this but if you have some garden tying wire this will do the job aswell.
Once the holes are clear retry the washer and fingers crossed this will cure it.
As what happens is gunge builds up in the roof of the dispenser and stops the water from going into the softner tray.
