Hi I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WMF740 7kg load washing machine. It blew a fuse yeasterday and on the panel it was flashing with F-8.can you tell me from this if it's something serious please?It will probably involve calling out a technician.Answer Summary
Hiya,F8 indicates the heater relay is stuck As the machine blew a fuse it would suggest a fault with the heater circuit that has blown the main control board too. You would need to have the board replaced and programmed to your appliance to try and cure the problem. You do need to call them for their latest prices and schemes. Sorry it's not good news or an easy fix.

As the machine blew a fuse it would suggest a fault with the heater circuit that has blown the main control board too.
Unplug the appliance.
Take the rear panel off.
The main control board is bottom left when viewed from the rear.
Take it out and check the board for any obvious damage.
Check the heater and heater wiring at the bottom rear of the tub.
