Dishwasher modelk ADP 540S.- last wash did not completely drain-tried to restart with prog. but
no results-green light flashing nothing happening-also tim ing[3,6,9, hr. button not showing
anything[no obvious movement, or light] first time with a probl;em pls. help in anticipation I would thank you.................................

Hiya,

Reset the appliance.

Select a new programme.

When it goes wrong, look at the start light.

It will be flashing.

Count the flashes between pauses and let me know how many.

sorry about the delay in replying to you . I have just checked with all progs. and the no. is 4 repeat 4. this is less than before when it was continually flashing. Over to you, in the hope that it can be sorted as cheaply as poss.

Sorry, 4 flashes indicates a draining failure.

Did the machine actually drain all the water out?

sorry-originally I said that the machine had failed to completely drain in its last prog., and that is why I came to this site. there is an amount of water still in the machine....no -some water still there

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

Sorry, I missed some of it trying to read through all of the posts.

As it failed to drain, and I'm assuming it didn't drain when you reset and tried it, you have either a blockage somewhere or a faulty pump or control board.

First check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.

Take the hose off and check both the hose and the connection for a blockage.

If ok, you'll need to take the machine out and unplug it to gain access to the drain pump.

When it should be draining, do you hear a hum from the drain pump instead?
