I have an indeset washing...

I have an indeset washing machine No W1121.just recently it has stopped putting in the softner from the tray,although it goes through a complete cycle wash spin ect on completion
the softner is still in tray.I have washed out the water adding tray above the soap / softner
tray but still does not work.Help

Hi There

In the dispenser drawer in the softener compartment there should be a small plastics piece called a siphon.
Remove the siphon and wash it under warm water to remove any debris.
make sure you clean out the drawer also.
Now retry the machine and let me know how you got on.

Hi thanks for that but i have taken out the drawer and seperated the top part of the softner compartment washed all parts and replaced but still the softner remains in drawer after cycle has finished,water does seem to flow slowly into the conpartment through the small slot in the water supply box above the dispenser tray buthow fast should it flow or should i split the water supply box and clean inside,? but not sure how i would do this. Thanks

Hi
Might be worth checking you have a good flow of water through the solenoid valve.
If you disconnect the tube from where it fits to the distributor and then energise the valve while directing the hose into a bucket.
You should have a good flow through there. If not the inline filter that is fitted into the end of the inlet solenoid valve may be blocked.

Hi there tried as you sugested i have a good flow of water through the cold soleniod but the hot water soleniod does not appear to activate so there is no flow,do you know if the softner is washed into the machine by the hot water if this is so maybe the hot water soleniod has packed up,what is your opinion ?

Having checked the drawings for this model it shows it as being cold fill only with a twin solenoid valve. Perhaps one of the valves is not opening sufficiently to allow a good flow of water. Not sure you can test this sufficiently as it is part of the top distributor.

No its got a hot fill soleniod which unlike the twin cold fill soleniods did not get warm to the touch which both the cold ones did when i energised them whilst the lid was off the machine.

Swap the connectors over from cold to warm and run a quick wash cycle.
Let me know if the hot solenoid passes water.

Hi there just thought id say thanks for your help.The problem in the end was the water jacket that carries the water from the inlet soleniods and sprays it into the soap/softner tray.After taking out the tray i soaked it in hot soda water several times and flushed it through with hot water the compartment which delivers water to the softner tray had a load of thick black gunk which eventually came out with the flushing.
