Them lights flashing indecate a F13 fault.
This is either a faulty Dryer NTC (tempurtre senser) or fan motor faulty.
To check this you need to take off the top and there you will see the NTC there on top of the chamber. It will have 2 thin wires going to it. Make sure none of the wires have broken. Also check the wiring to the fan motor there aswell.
If the wiring is all ok then you will need a multimeter to test the NTC and fan motor. Meter out the NTC it should give a reading in Kohms. If faulty then it will need to be replaced. Then also meter out the fan motor aswell.
So that fault you have will be 1 of the above you will find.

Yes you should be fine just useing the washer as the faulty parts are for the dryer so dont affect the wash side.
