My Zanussi Jetsystem 1400 8...

My Zanussi Jetsystem 1400 8 kg won't start or allow the programme to be changed. The padlock icon is on, but the door is open. Is there any kind of over-ride to cancel all comands and get it back to a state where a washing programme can be started?

The door is locked and I am unable to get inside to check, but the user manual says ZWF 14791 W

Your initial question says "The padlock icon is on, but the door is open"

Everything is as I previously said, except, when I went to check the model number, I found the door locked, which it was not before!

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

First thing to check, is to see if there is a stored error code.

Switch the appliance on.

Close the door (yours already is).

Wait 1 minute.

Press and hold together, the start/pause and skip/reset buttons.

You should get an error code displayed.

Where is the skip/reset button? There is nothing with that name on the front of the machine. I have, from left to right: Temp., Spin, Soil Level, Easy Iron, Extra Rinse (below these is the Padlock icon), then on the extreme right is the Start/Pause button and above that the Daly Start up and down arrows on separate button.

I've tried that, twice and no error code appears.

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

Turn the knob to the off position.

Press and hold the 2 buttons again.

While holding them, turn the knob 1 position clockwise.

The machine will beep or flash.

Let go of the buttons and the leds should scroll.

If they do, turn the knob a further 9 positions clockwise.

This should display the code.

Let me have the code.

Now turn the machine to off.

Turn it on to any programme.

Turn it back to off.

This should reset the pcb and the software.

Try the machine again to see if it has.
