we have a hoover wasing...

we have a hoover wasing machine OPH 714 E03 & E16 keep coming up on display screen from time to time we over come the problem by switching off at mains and retry which seems to work for a while. Could you please tell me what the E16 Fault means. We know E03 is a problem with pump according to the book. The machine appears to wash and drain ok but we have to reset to rince and spin which then works and some times E16 appears.
Can you Help with any diagnoses?

Hiya,

E16 is listed as;

Water heating element is short circuit or defective electrical insulation.

It would appear there is a problem with the heater or it's wiring that the control board is picking up.

E03 indicates a time out draining.

If it's taking too long to drain, you need to clear the hoses and the pump of debris.

If it's draining, then it would suggest a problem with the pressure switch, pressure tubing or the pressure chamber.

Clean them out, see what happens.
